Thousand Islands Eyes Wider Collaboration to Develop Tourism

Deputy Governor for Jakarta Culture and Tourism Division, Dadang Solihin encourages wider collaboration to develop the tourism sector in Thousand Islands.

As one of the National Tourism Strategic Areas (KSPN), he disclosed, the Thousand Islands should continue to improve and establish partnerships with various parties.

"Besides industry players or tourism businesses, we can also collaborate with the world of education or universities, communities, to the media," he expressed, when he monitored and collected aspirations related with tourism sector in Thousand Islands, at the Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Office Hall, Wednesday (3/10).

Thousand Islands Regent Junaedi explained, the challenge of developing and caring for tourism potential in Thousand Islands was not small. It needed various improvements, including the need for a legal protection in a number of fields.

"We'll also continue to promote the Thousand Islands destination to be better known to the public nationally and internationally," he stated.
